Alan Platt.

Before founding Platt & Associates in November 2002, Alan spent more than twenty two years working in the UK Border Agency as an Immigration Officer and was based at Heathrow and Stansted Airports and at the Immigration Service Headquarters in Croydon. He was seconded to the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and worked overseas as a Consular and Visa Officer at a number of British Diplomatic posts, where he dealt with UK visa applications and British passport and nationality issues.

Since leaving the UK Border Agency, Alan has spent over ten years practicing UK immigration law. He is a member of the Immigration Law Practitioners Association (ILPA) and is registered to Level 3 by the Offices of the Immigration Service Commissioner (OISC).

Jerry Conlan

Jerry worked for the UK Border Agency for over six years as a manager within the UK Border Agency in a department responsible for work permit applications and policy. He has considerable experience dealing with complex work permit matters ( Tier 1 and Tier 2 employment, business and investment opportunities under the UK Immigration Rules) and employer licensing applications.

He has spent over ten years practicing UK immigration law in the private sector and prior to joining Platt & Associates worked with KPMG, heading their immigration department in London. 

Jerry is a member of the Immigration Law Practitioners Association and is registered to Level 2 by the OISC

Catherine Maclay

Catherine was born in South Africa and has considerable experience practicing UK immigration law. 

She graduated with a Bachelor of Business Science (BBusSci) degree and an LLB degree from the University of Cape Town, and a Master of Laws degree in International Commercial Law from the University of Johannesburg, prior to practicing as an attorney in South Africa. 

Catherine is regulated by the OISC to practice UK immigration law across the breadth of entry clearance applications, in-country applications, appeals against refusals of visa applications and judicial review matters.  The intricacies of British nationality law  and the EEA Regulations are a special interest to her and she is registered to Level 3 by the OISC and an active member of ILPA.

Egle Pielikyte

Egle was born in Lithuania and in addition to her native language speaks fluent Russian. She joined Platt & Associates in July 2008 and deals with various UK immigration matters, including Tier 4 Student, Tier 1 (Post Study Work), Marriage and Civil Partnerships applications made under European Union Law and assists in the preparation of appeal cases, liaising with our Barristers Chambers. 

Egle is a member of ILPA and is registered to Level 1 by the OISC.

Rafaela Crozier

Rafaela was born in Brazil and graduated in International Law from the University of Amazonia. Following her graduation she worked for a number of years as a legal advisor to the Brazilian Police before moving to Switzerland to study French and then joined Platt & Associates in May 2010. She deals principally with European Union Law applications, Marriage and Civil Partnerships, Tier 4 Student matters and the regularization of those who have overstayed their leave to remain.     

In addition to Portuguese, Rafaela speaks Spanish and French fluently.

Rafaela is registered to Level 1 by the OISC.
